| Standardization - an establishment and application of obligatory rules, norms and the requirements directed on increase of production and decrease of the cost price.
Standards are subdivided into state (GOST), branch (OST), republican (RST), standards of the enterprises (STP) and specifications (THAT).
The State standard is established on mass production production, the last state certification, and on export production, by norms and the rules having wide sphere of action; branch - on production and technological processes of branch application; republican - on production which is let out by the enterprises of republican value. Standards of the enterprises develop on norms, components, technical equipment and others, having application only at the given enterprise. Specifications establish on production any kind at absence on this production of other standards.
